When I got invited by Penguin and Sheep's pubs first ever Wells Beer festival I was very excited. I was delighted for this very rare opportunity to do an event with my clientele mostly adults. Though this goes to show face painting isn't just for kids! With adults picking great designs like spiderman, this really became a great ticketed event.
Wells Beer Fest 2024
The Glitter Bar was a great hit, and everyone loved it. The festival glitter Moon crest eyes was very popular from bright gold and blue to translucent shimmer. The whole range of glitter is biodegradable making it a fantastic product.
This was the first event with the new air brush tattoo kit, and it was fantastic. With a large selection of stencils, from tigers to dragons, skulls to roses, the attendees loved getting temporary body art.
The event was fantastic offering food options from a burger stall to freshly made pizzas, and different choices of cider from lots of small businesses. I was situated opposite the stage, not only was it a great location, I got to enjoy live bands and DJ's all throughout the afternoon into the evening when the event stopped around 11pm.
This event was full of incredible moments from face painting a spiderman design, and seeing such a big smile, to capturing the perfect Mother and Daughter moment, with a beautiful frozen crown with snowflakes to the lovely matching blue flower. These moments are rare at events amongst the hustle and bustle, though in one moment shows the joy face painting.
The venue, sheep and penguin, is a lovely family run pub. Nestled in the beautiful historic town of Wells, somerset. With less then a 10 minute walk through the town, is the famous historic Wells cathedral, the earliest example of a English cathedral built in the Gothic style. There's also great walks in the area, like Glastonbury Tor, being only a 10 minute drive away. this pub is a lovely location to do such a lively and fun event, and a great weekend away.
